Welcome to Bhakti Yoga DC's 200-hour Teacher Training Program, a unique journey designed to empower you both on and off the mat. Our program offers an enriching blend of yoga postures, philosophy, and lifestyle guidance, providing the tools to deepen your practice and connect with your body and breath in meaningful ways.

Through weekend immersions and Bhakti philosophy, you'll not only refine your physical practice but also explore the spiritual heart of yoga. This holistic experience equips you to confidently share yoga's teachings with others, growing into a compassionate and knowledgeable instructor.

Your commitment will be supported by engaging homework assignments, including essays, personal reading, class sequencing, teaching practice, and more. These elements are thoughtfully crafted to inspire growth and keep you fully engaged in your path.

  • Module 1

    In-depth study of the anatomy of the spine

    Yoga breathing and how breath stimulates and creates space in the spine

    Accessing the autonomic nervous system (ANS) using the breath, creating an energizing or calming effect

    The 5 directional flows of breath, their function and purpose in the body (Pancha Vayu)

    The 5 layers (koshas) of the body

    The art of sequencing. understanding the wave theory

    Basic and complex sun salutations and adoptions
